Gary received his law degree from the University of British Columbia. He established and has been a Partner of the firm since 1979. Gary advises on business law, business and property purchases and sales, wills, and estate planning and asset protection. He worked in Hong Kong and China from 1985 to 1987.

Gary believes in personal development and community building through business, volunteer and athletic associations, including: Richmond Hospital Foundation, Richmond Chamber of Commerce, Meraloma Rugby, Eye of The Dragon - Canoe Racing, and JCC Maccabi Games.

Jack obtained his B.A. in Political Science and Economics at the University of Toronto and his LL.B. from McGill University. He obtained a Masters Degree in maritime law and policy from the University of Wales in 1978. He was called to the bar in 1977 and is a Partner of the firm, primarily practicing in the areas of maritime law, estate and civil litigation. He also acts for numerous corporate clients with regard to their business needs.

Jack was commissioned by Butterworths to author a legal test, “Mortgages of Ships”. He is a member of the Canadian Maritime Law Association and Canadian Power & Sail Squadron.

EdwardsGarth Garth Edwards, B.Mus., M.Ed., LL.B.

Garth was admitted to the British Columbia Bar in 1984 and is a Partner of the firm. He practices primarily in the areas of civil litigation including divorce and family law, personal injury, collections and criminal law. Garth is an arbitrator, mediator and founding member of the Richmond Collaborative Family Law Group, which strives to achieve solutions for families without going to court.

Garth is a patron of the arts and is a member of the men’s choir, Chor Leoni. He is a founding director and past president of the Richmond Concert Association and chair of the Richmond Gateway Theatre Endowment Fund. He is a member of and past president of the Richmond Sunrise Rotary Club and immediate past assistant district governor for Rotary International.

Bruce attended the University of British Columbia and was called to the Bar in 1977. He has practiced in Richmond since 1979. He has experience in a variety of areas including corporate organizations, bank financing, real estate and insolvency which has allowed him to bring to his current areas of practice the depth of experience necessary to create both business and personal solutions to address the specific needs of his clients.

Bruce presently advises in the areas of business organizations, succession planning and estate administration.  Bruce is a member of the Richmond Chamber of Commerce, the Estate Planning Council of Vancouver and a member of the Match Committee of Point Grey Golf & Country Club.

Shannon Kwok Shannon Kwok, B.Comm, LL.B.

Shannon graduated from McGill University with a Bachelor of Commerce (management Information Systems and International Business) and from the University of British Columbia with a Bachelor of Laws in 1994. She was admitted to the British Columbia Bar in 1995. Shannon’s practice concentrates on corporate and commercial law, wills, estates, real estate conveyancing, mortgages and commercial leasing. She is fluent in English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin).

Shannon is a past director, treasurer and chair of the Human Resources Committee of the Richmond Gateway Theatre. She is a past director and secretary of the Richmond Asia Pacific Business Association.

Barry has a Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Law degrees from the University of Alberta. He has practiced law in Richmond since his call to the bar in 1987. Barry's practice focuses on individuals, combining his experience in will and estate planning and administration; corporate and business law; and real property transactions to advise and assist clients. Barry's goal is to help clients create an effective plan to achieve their business and personal objectives and then work with them to ensure successful implementation of that plan.

Barry is a resident of Richmond and strongly believes in contributing back to the community. Among his activities, he is or has been a director of the Richmond Chamber of Commerce, the Richmond Community Hospice Foundation, and Richmond Girls Soccer Associations. He is also a volunteer coach of youth soccer in Richmond.

Jean holds degrees in Arts, Nursing Science and Law from the University of British Columbia. She joined Cohen Buchan Edwards in 2003 and has focused her practice in the areas of personal injury litigation and family law.

Her extensive medical and psychiatric nursing background has given her expertise in providing legal advice to clients suffering personal injury. Jean also offers advice regarding family litigation matters through Access to Justice at CHIMO and is active on the Richmond Nite of Hope for the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation.

Joseph was called to the Philippine Bar in 1996 and to the British Columbia Bar in 2004. Joseph obtained his Master of Laws degree from the University of British Columbia in 1999. He was a recipeint of the BC Law Foundation Fellowship. Joseph has lived in Europe, Asia, and North America and speaks fluent German, Swiss German, and Filipino. He is also conversant in French. Having experienced living in many cultures, Joseph thrives in the practice of law with consideration of the diverse cultural requirements of the multicultural clients in B.C.  Joseph has set-up a pro bono clinic with a non-profit organization and in cooperation with Access Justice. Joseph provides legal advice on immigration, family and civil litigation disputes.

Kieran Moore, B.A., LL.B.

Kieran's litigation practice includes commercial, estate, employment, intellectual property, family and personal injury litigation.  Kieran has added expertise in copyright and trade-mark issues including comparative advertising, defamation, and internet domain name disputes.

Kieran has worked and trained with a large Vancouver firm, Bull Housser & Tupper LLP, since 2004, where he gained a depth of skills and experience.  Kieran has a Bachelor of Arts with Distinction, in Media Communications from Concordia University.  He received his Bachelor of Laws from the University of Victoria in 2005.  Kieran has worked for Citizenship and Immigration Canada and a medical malpractice litigation firm in New York City.  Kieran is avidly involved in media and the arts, and enjoys spending his spare time with his wife and daughter.
